My Auntie has been planning this cruise for more then a year and it's finally here.

We are going for her 50th birthday and it should be a BLASTY BLAST!

28 women, no men, aged from 55 years old to 15 years old!

Pictures to come, hopefully, not really good on the update things! :)

I did just update my 365 photo project page up to today, so make sure to take a look!

Where did you go June?

It is the last day of June, and where the hell did the time go?

I knew from the beginning of June that I would not be updating the blog very often. So here's a quick update of June...

In June,

I went to Disneyland and Magic Mountain. I ate 7 churros that week! (Don't judge, churros are their own food group in my mind!) D-land was a lot of fun, and I cemented my status as the best shooter on the Buzz Lightyear ride. I have now beaten every single one of my friends.

On our way home, we had lunch at a cute Greek restaurant in LA called, Le Petit Greek. This restaurant is owned by someone with the same last name as my mom's family, but it is spelled differently. Apparently, on Ellis Island the person whop checked in my family did not understand them, because there are at least three different way to spell my Mom's maiden name. The food there was soooo good! Greek is difficult to make and there are not many authentic Greek restaurants in the Bay Area, so this was a real treat!

I also read the first four Pretty Little Liars books. I felt like a creep reading books that were written for teenagers, but the dramam and suspense was outrageous! I loved the books, and have been watching the new series on ABC family, so it's easy to say I'm a fan. I would definitly recommend the books and have even tried to pawn them off on my 15 year old cousin, but she isn't into reading during summer. Ahhh to be young!

I started my 365 photo project on June 2. So far, so good, but I have mostly been using my cell phone camera, just because it's easier to get the pictures on to my computer and I always have my phone with me. Photos will be going up soon! yay!

The weekends of June were dedicated to Graduate School. I was in class every single Saturday and Sunday. Now that's dedication. In class, I learned about the Principles of Marriage and Family Therapy and Law and Ethics in Psychology. In the Principles class, we did a lot of role play, both being patients and therapists. I never knew how good I was at channelling a paraniod schizophrenic, haha. I never thought I was a good actress, but that performance deserved an oscar! :) I am so happy to have the rest of summer off of school. I have officially ended my first year of graduate school!

I visited my friend who moved an hour away with her boyfriend. Their house is amazing, although empty! The house is huge, but they have yet to decorate rooms other than the rooms they definitly use, like thir bedroom and the living room, but every other room is waiting. When I was visiting her, we went to Sonic, which I have never been to. My slushy was AWESOME! I wish there was a Sonic closer to home. Although I would never give up In and Out for a Sonic, but it would be nice to have both!

My old cheerleading coach facebooked me in June to help her with the new squad at my high school. Going back to high school is very interesting. Listening to the girls talk transports me back to that place. Luckily, I liked high school, so it's not bad. I'm excited to help out through the year.

I had an awesome dinner party on the last friday of June. I even made Red Velvet Cupcakes from scratch. I was very proud of myself. Those cupcakes were so good! Learning to make Red Velvet cupcakes and having a dinner party were two things I could check off my 101 in 1001 list.

Today, the last day of the month, I will be driving to this park with a pool with my girlfriends. Living on the coast of Northern California can be a drag during summer. Where I live we don't really get sun, the sun comes in August and September, so we have to drive to find sun. So here we go. I actually have a pretty good base tan right now, but only because I lay out in my backyard every single free moment I have that the sun is shining.

July has many great things to come. A 50th birthday party on a grand scale, a cruise, mexico, napa valley... hopefully, I will be more motivated to blog, because I will have more going on. We shall see! :)

DISNEYLAND, Here I Come!!!

sleaapingbeautycastle

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Disney, and everything that comes with it!

Tomorrow morning at 2 am, I will be making the trek down to Anaheim!

I'm so excited!

Last year I went to Disneyland for my birthday with my three best girlfriends. I tend to get a little over excited on my birthdays (I just want them to be perfect), and they were a little afraid of the emergence of "birthdayzilla!"

They were wrong, Disneyland is my happy place. A place where a kid can be a kid and an adult can also be a kid.

It's a place where I can eat warm yummy churros and cool pineapple whips! (I'm mostly excited for the churros)

I am also very excited because I will be starting my 365 photo project on Tuesday, June 1...

side note: I had to re-buy my digital camera, because it was in my stolen purse. I have also already received my replacement credit and debit cards as well as my drivers license. The silver lining of my stolen purse is that I had to retake my drivers license picture, something I was oh so happy to do.

I will be in Ventura on Tuesday at Magic Mountain, those roller coasters are wild!

I CANNOT WAIT!!!

Mickey Mouse and co, get ready cause here I come!!

PS: sorry about all the exclamation points! I'm just so excited!!

What possess people to take things that don't belong to them!!!

I am so upset!

Last night I was out with my girlfriends in the city. We had an awesome dinner at a small Mexican restaurant called "The Velvet Cantina." I had the shrimp enchiladas and there were only men that worked there, and they were some good-looking men! (YUM!)

but I digress...

then we went to a bar (yes, on a Tuesday night) and were having a great time. This great time was ruined by someone. When we went to leave I could not find my black clutch,

CUE ME FLIPPING OUT!!!
(actually, apparently I was very calm about it)

We asked the bartenders to look out for it, but we literally looked everywhere! Even in the men's bathroom.

Basically, it was stolen. Inside of it was my digital camera, my wallet with some cash, my driver's liscense, and my debit and credit cards. I also had some MAC makeup and MOST IMPORTANTLY...

THE KEYS TO MY HOUSE AND MY CAR!!!!!!

Luckily, my cell phone was in my pocket, because if I had lost my iPhone, I would be a mess right now. I'm so attached to it!

It really annoys me that I even had my keys because I live with one of my friends and I usually leave my keys at home when we go out, cause there really is no reason for us both to have keys to the house.

I also lost my new birthday presents for myself, a coach wallet and keychain. :(

I'm really sad, but I am hoping that my purse shows up at the bar, but I doubt it :( :( I called to cancel my credit and debit cards and there were no charges on either of them so maybe! I also called the bar and left a message on their voicemail. I will call again after they open.

All I want is my stuff back! Otherwise I will not have a camera for my trip down to Disneyland and LA in a few weeks... and I DO NOT want to make a trip down to the DMV for a new liscense (unless they let me take a new picture!)

to Kindle or not to Kindle....

I have been wanting a Kindle for the past few months, probably since before Christmas. It was just my birthday and I got a little money so I'm am now wondering if I should sink that money in the a Kindle.

Photobucket

I actually read a lot and am constantly purchasing books from Amazon. I'm a sucker for the recommendations page, of course they know what I love, they track what I buy! Anyway, I'm getting to the point that I just don't have enough space to keep all the books I read. So I'm toying with the idea of going for it, but I am having difficulties.

I want to actually hold and play with it before I spend $250 plus about $40 for a case, on my new toy. I also want to make sure that I will actually use it. I wish Amazon would put it in a store like best buy or something so I can actually see and touch it.

Recently I have seen a few around and have asked those random strangers how they like it. One loved it while another said she got it for a gift and probably would not have bought it for herself. It has amazing reviews on Amazon, but sometimes those can be pretty one-sided (anyone hear about the yelp controversy?)

So I'm sending it out to you... does anyone who is reading this actually have a Kindle? How do you like it, do you actually use it. Do you feel like you're actually saving money and space with the downloadable books? Do you know anyone with a Kindle? Do they like it?

hmmmmm.... decisions, decisions!

Miley dirty dancing?

I recently saw this video of Miley Cyrus dirty dancing on some guy. Apparently this video was taken when she was 16. I don't actually think it is a problem. Miley is almost an adult and I was 16 not to long ago and I was dancing the exact same way. Granted I was not in a club, but I was at school dances. I was still "dirty dancing," I may have even been dirty dancing before high school.

My mom teaches high school and she told me that when she chaperoned prom they used to have a "dirty dancing room" where students would basically be put on time out if they were caught dirty dancing. That is just ridiculous.

I understand that dancing may lead to other bad things, but for the most part dancing is harmless. I think that people overreact way too much, especially when it comes to our teen starlets. People grow up people, even young celebrity teens. Please let them grow up, because teenagers are going to grow up anyway.
